"Plagiarism is the presentation of information (either written or oral) as one’s own when when it is borrowed or copied from another person or source."

Other Types of Plagiarism That May Surprise You

  • Reusing your own paper/presentation from another course. (Requires the permission of both instructors, if both courses are being taken in the same semester, or the permission of the second instructor if they are taken during different semesters.)
  • Using content from lectures without citation. (Not all instructors will require you to cite information from class. Check with your instructor.)
